Delhi Police bust fake currency scam, two arrested for duping youth with toy notes

New Delhi, May 6 (UNI) Delhi Police’s Outer North District has busted a fake currency scam in which two accused cheated a 21-year-old youth of Rs 1 lakh by handing over bundles of toy notes labeled “Children Bank.”
The victim, a tour and travel operator from Burari, was lured through Instagram with promises of illegal currency exchange and high returns.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami said that the accused, identified as Jitender from Rajasthan and Sandeep from Haryana, trapped the victim with an offer of “rejected bank notes” and extracted money in installments before delivering fake currency. “
