NDA means Naidu/Nitish Dependent Alliance: Congress

New Delhi, June 7 (UNI) Mocking the National Democratic Alliance as ‘Naidu Dependent Alliance or Nitish Dependent Alliance’ the Congress of Friday said that the ‘Modi guarantee’ is now gone and it is to be seen for how long the new NDA government survives.

Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters here, party spokesperson Pawan Khera said that Narendra Modi did not take the name of NDA in the last 10 years but only used the word “Modi’s guarantee”. But the people’s mandate has forced him to say ‘NDA’s guarantee’.

Stating that the people of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra gave a befitting reply to the BJP, Khera said, “The BJP could not win a seat in Ayodhya. Leave Ayodhya, the party could not win any seats in the nearby areas and after losing they are now abusing the people of Ayodhya.
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s winning margin was reduced to just one lahk fifty thousand votes only. Whereas our leaders Rahul Gandhi won from Rae Bareli by a margin of 390030 votes and KL Sharma won the Amethi seat by a margin of 167196 votes which were more than Modi. Similarly, in Maharashtra the party performed pathetically”.

Khera also slammed the BJP government for removing the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and BR Ambedkar from the Parliament premises and also questioned the intention of the government for taking such a decision.

He said, “The poor performance by the BJP in the just concluded Lok Sabha election had left the party frustrated and is now venting its anger on Mahatma Gandhi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and BR Ambedkar by removing the statues from the Parliament premises”.

“Vent your anger on us which you have been doing in the last 10 years, we will fight,” Khera said.

When asked about Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) contesting the future elections solo, the spokesperson said that this arrangement was for the Lok Sabha election only and this was already made clear when the alliance was formed.

When asked whether the AAP will remain a part of INDI alliance, the Congress leader said that this question should be asked to them.
