Delhi CM announces Rs 805.99 Cr medical college project in Dwarka sub-city, with 250 MBBS seats every year

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) In a push to Delhi’s healthcare and medical education infrastructure, the state government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has given its nod to the construction of a modern medical college and hostel complex at the Indira Gandhi Hospital campus in Dwarka sub-city.
The cost of the project has been estimated to be around Rs 805.99 crore, and has received clearance during a recent meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) chaired by the CM.
The Delhi government aims to complete this ambitious project by 2028, which will include a full-fledged medical college, separate hostels for male and female students, faculty housing, and a modern academic block.
