Match officials appointed for landmark FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Zurich (Switzerland), Apr 15 (UNI) Following a thorough preparation process that included seminars with FIFA referees from all six confederations, the FIFA Referees Committee has announced the match officials who will oversee games at the groundbreaking FIFA Club World Cup 2025, which will take place from June 14 to July 13 across 12 stadiums in 11 Host Cities in the United States.
A total of 117 match officials – 35 referees, 58 assistant referees and 24 video match officials – from 41 member associations will take charge of the matches.
Commenting on the appointment of Team One, the chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, Pierluigi Collina, said that it would be a “privilege” for those chosen to officiate at the very first

Berlin, June 14 (UNI) Serena Williams will partner Czech Karolina Muchova at next week's Berlin Open as she continues her comeback.
The 44-year-old, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, made her return to tennis earlier this week at Queen's after almost four years away from the sport, partnering Victoria Mboko in the women's doubles.
The pair made a winning start as they upset third seeds Erin Routliffe and Nicole Melichar-Martinez in straight sets, but had to withdraw from their quarter-final after Mboko suffered

London, June 14 (UNI) Britain's Emma Raducanu produced two superb victories in a day at Queen's to reach her first grass-court final.
Raducanu overcame an injury scare to beat Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3 7-5 in her weather-delayed quarter-final early on Saturday afternoon.
She returned to Andy Murray Arena a little over two and a half hours later and dispatched highly-rated American teenager Iva Jovic 6-2 6-2.
