Telangana govt to launch ‘Film-in-Telangana’ portal to promote film-friendly state

Hyderabad, Sep 27 (UNI) To promote Telangana as the most film-friendly state in the country, the Government is launching the “Film-in-Telangana” Portal — a comprehensive, single-window digital platform.
The state has emerged as a leading destination for film tourism and production, with world-class studios, advanced infrastructure, and a thriving ecosystem capable of supporting international-quality filmmaking.
Hyderabad, in particular, has hosted several major Indian and Hollywood productions and continues to be a hub for the rapidly growing Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector.
To consolidate this position, the government is launching the “Film-in-Telangana” Portal — a comprehensive, single-window digital platform designed to: Facilitate film shooting permissions across departments ;Enable easy scouting and selection of shooting locations and Provide information on film infrastructure, services, and incentives available in the State.
The objective is to streamline and digitize the approval process, thereby attracting national and international production houses and enhancing film tourism in Telangana.
This initiative aligns with the Government’s vision of ease of doing business, promotion of creative industries, and boosting economic activity through cultural and tourism driven sectors.
