Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Verma today unveiled the logo of the first Hyderabad International Short Film Festival, scheduled to be held from December 19 to 21 at Prasad IMAX, during a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan’s Durbar Hall.
The event was attended by National Award-winning director C Uma Maheshwara Rao, Chief Patron of the festival; Nandan Babu, Principal of the Dadasaheb Phalke School of Film Studies; and Priyanka, Managing Director of the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (TSFDC).
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that short films play an important role in highlighting social issues and creative storytelling.
He lauded the organizers for hosting an international short film festival of such scale and described the logo as a vibrant reflection of Hyderabad’s cultural identity.
“Hyderabad holds a special place in India’s film industry, and such initiatives will further strengthen its global recognition,” he said.
TSFDC Managing Director Priyanka said this is the first time in India that a three-day festival has been dedicated exclusively to short films at this scale.
