Varun Dhawan’s next rom-com ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ postponed to June 5, 2026

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Fans of Varun Dhawan will have to wait a little longer to see him in his next romantic comedy, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
The film, directed by David Dhawan, has been rescheduled for release from April 10, 2026, to June 5, 2026. Alongside Varun, the movie features Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles.
The makers announced the new date on Instagram on Friday, sharing a fresh poster with the caption, “Drama bhi hona hai, comedy bhi, kyunki jab ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ in cinemas on 5th June 2026.”
Produced by Ramesh Taurani and helmed by David Dhawan, the film promises a colorful blend of romance, chaos, and classic Bollywood humor, all presented with a contemporary twist.
Interestingly, the title takes inspiration from the popular track “Ishq Sona Hai” from David Dhawan’s 1999 hit Biwi No. 1, starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen.
The film also boasts an ensemble cast including Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Chunkey Panday, Rakesh Bedi, and Ali Asgar in pivotal roles.
Varun Dhawan was last seen in the romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Janhvi Kapoor. The film, which released on October 2, also starred Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf and followed the story of two ex-lovers in Delhi navigating love, laughter, and second chances.
