Rashmika Mandanna condemns rising misuse of AI-generated explicit images

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) The growing misuse of Artificial Intelligence to generate fake, explicit, and morphed images of film personalities has become a serious concern in the Indian entertainment industry.
Several actors have recently raised their voices against this disturbing trend, and now Rashmika Mandanna has stepped forward to express her strong objection.
Rashmika took to X to demand greater accountability and responsibility in the creation and sharing of AI-generated content. Calling the situation a sign of “moral decline,” she stressed the urgent need for awareness and ethical use of emerging technologies.
She also highlighted how the internet has increasingly become a space where fabricated visuals can easily masquerade as real.
Addressing the “misuse” of AI to circulate vulgar and harmful images of women, Rashmika wrote, “When truth can be manufactured, discernment becomes our greatest defense.”
She added, “AI is a force for progress, but its misuse to create vulgarity and target women signals a deep moral decline in certain people. Remember, the internet is no longer a mirror of truth — it is a canvas where anything can be fabricated. Let us rise above misuse and use AI to build a more dignified and progressive society. Choose responsibility over recklessness. If people cannot act like humans, then strict and unforgiving punishment must be served to them.”
On the professional front, Mandanna is preparing for the release of ‘Cocktail 2’, the sequel to the 2012 hit film Cocktail. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film continues the story of the original, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty, and became widely popular for its contemporary portrayal of love and friendship.
