Kunal Kemmu shines in first trailer for Netflix’s ‘Single Papa’

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) The trailer for Kunal Kemmu-starrer ‘Single Papa’ dropped on Tuesday, offering a first look at the heartwarming and chaotic journey of a single dad navigating parenthood, family drama, and plenty of humor.
Created and co-produced by Ishita Moitra and Neeraj Udhwani, with Shashank Khaitan serving as executive producer, the Netflix series is directed by Shashank Khaitan, Hitesh Kewalya, and Neeraj Udhwani. The show is produced by Aditya Pittie and Samar Khan under the Juggernaut Productions banner.
Netflix shared the trailer on its Instagram page writing, “Dher saara pyaar, aur dher saari takraar Gehlot parivaar ka tamasha is due soon. Watch Single Papa, coming soon, only on Netflix.”
The ensemble cast also includes Manoj Pahwa, Neha Dhupia, Prajakta Koli, and Ayesha Raza.
Kunal Kemmu, who plays Gaurav Gahlot, shared, “Playing Gaurav has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The character is flawed, funny, and fiercely loving, much like so many real-life single parents. I think audiences will see themselves and their families in this show. The warmth of every character is what makes the story so special and wholesome.”
Prajakta Koli, who portrays Namrata—Gaurav’s sister and occasional voice of reason—added, “Single Papa captures what a perfectly imperfect Indian family looks like. Loud, loving, opinionated, dramatic, but always standing by one another. Being a single child, I never understood sibling bickering before this show. The banter with Kunal, the disagreements, the affection—it all came naturally. It’s the perfect show to binge-watch with your family.”
Neha Dhupia, joining the cast as the strong and no-nonsense Romilla Nehra, said, “As a parent, what moved me most about Single Papa is how honestly it portrays the chaos, tenderness, and imperfections that shape every family. Parenting is never linear or perfect, and the show captures that beautifully.”
“It blends humor and heart in a deeply authentic way. Being part of this world was incredibly fulfilling, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the warmth, madness, and love we’ve created,” Neha added.
Single Papa premieres on December 12.
