Noah Wyle wins ‘Best Actor’ TV Drama at 2026 ‘Golden Globes’

Los Angeles, Jan 12 (UNI) Noah Wyle won the Golden Globe for ‘Best Actor’ in a Television Drama on Sunday night at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, earning the honor for his performance in the medical drama series 'The Pitt'.
The award was presented by actor Priyanka Chopra and BLACKPINK member Lalisa Manoban during the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
In his acceptance speech, Wyle reflected on the significance of the moment and his decades-long journey in the entertainment industry, describing the win as especially meaningful after years of learning and growth.
“What a truly humbling moment this is,” Wyle said onstage. “Oh my goodness. I am so incredibly grateful, and I don’t know how to express 54 years of gratitude in 60 seconds. I’m indebted to so many people. I’ve been inspired by so many artists, many of whom I’ve had the great honor of being nominated alongside this evening,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wyle also spoke about his upbringing and the values that shaped his career, emphasizing the importance of art, curiosity, and service. Tying his remarks to the themes of The Pitt, he paid tribute to healthcare workers around the world.
“I was raised in a family that placed a high priority on art, curiosity, and service,” he said. “I’ve benefited from incredible teachers and received invaluable advice from some very good friends.”
Wyle was nominated in the category alongside Sterling K. Brown, Diego Luna, Gary Oldman, Mark Ruffalo, and Adam Scott. The Golden Globe win caps a strong awards season for the actor, who has already claimed both the Critics’ Choice Award and an Emmy for the same role.
Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the 2026 Golden Globe Awards are being held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
