Spent maximum time on crafting storyline of the conflict between Hrithik and NTR: Ayan Mukherjee

Mumbai, June 20 (UNI) Director Ayan Mukerji has revealed that the most meticulous and time-consuming aspect of his upcoming film 'War 2' was constructing the storyline of the epic showdown between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.

Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Ayan Mukerji, 'War 2' marks the sixth chapter of the ambitious and the commercially triumphant YRF spy universe.

In a recent statement, Ayan Mukerji opened up about the creative challenges and responsibilities of helming such a massive film. “It is a huge responsibility to take forward a hugely loved franchise like War and leave your own mark on it,” he said. “I saw directing War 2 as a relishing opportunity to give a hat-tip to the first film. You can’t have fun otherwise while coming on board such a huge blockbuster franchise.”

Mukerji emphasised that the heart of War 2 lies in the intense conflict between the two protagonists, played by Roshan and NTR. “Everything about War 2 has been crafted with a lot of planning to elevate the theatrical experience of the audience,” he explained. “The maximum time was spent on the action set pieces and crafting the storyline and the conflict which was needed to mount the face-off between Hrithik Roshan and NTR.”

"War 2" is set for a global theatrical release on 14 August.
