Heat wave condition grips Odisha, Mercury hovers over  40 degree Celsius in  18 places

Bhubaneswar, Apr 15 (UNI) An intense heat wave conditions prevailed in several parts of Odisha with day temperature rising above 40 degrees Celsius in as many as 18 places in the state.
IMD sources said the hot and humid discomfort weather conditions and heat wave likely over districts of Odisha during the next 5 days mainly due to prevailing North Westerly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation.
The day temperature is said to rise gradually by 4 degrees Celsius to 6 degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 4 to 5 days.
