Meghalaya pressure group urges Amit Shah to secure India-Bangladesh border amid security concerns

Shillong, July 5 (UNI) A prominent pressure group in Meghalaya has written to the Union Home minister Amit Shah, expressing concern on the “establishment of a strategic base by Pakistan’s ISI in Bangladesh”, which poses a serious national security threat.
In its letter to Shah yesterday, the Hynñiewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization (HITO) demanded the immediate extension of the British-era regulation – the Inner Line Permit (ILP) - to prevent illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from entering Meghalaya.

Odisha: MCL inks Rs 1 26 crore MoU with CIPET to skill youths

Bhubaneswar, May 20 (UNI) Reaffirming its commitment to empowering communities, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has signed a MoU with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Bhubaneswar to provide two-year residential ITI training in Electrician and Fitter trades.
Under this programme, 40 students—20 each in Electrician and Fitter trades, selected from MCL’s operational areas will be provided with industry-relevant technical skills at CIPET, through a comprehensive 2-year ITI curriculum.
