Metro Railway-Kolkata carried over 18.5 Cr commuters till January 2025, still runs at loss

Kolkata, Feb 10 (UNI) City's cheapest and fastest mode of transport-Kolkata Metro- 's passenger growth touched an all time high and recorded 15.39 percent high in this fiscal upto January end,
2025, compared to last year, a Kolkata Metro official said.
"Metro Railway has carried 18.52 crore passengers till January 2025 in comparison to 16.05 crores (which is 2.47 crores higher) during the corresponding period of the last year," he added.
