Thirteen-member Bangladesh delegation on a visit to SMP, Kolkata

Kolkata, July 12 (UNI) A 13-member delegation from Bangladesh was on a four-day visit to Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (SMP), Kolkata, from July 09 to 12, 2024, to assess the possibilities of transshipment of Exim cargo of Bangladesh through Indian ports located on the East Coast.
The delegation, led by the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping, Bangladesh, S M Mostafa Kamal, comprises representatives from other key ministries, private stakeholders, and ports of Bangladesh, according to a media statement here on Friday.
The delegation’s visit to ports in Haldia on July 10 and in Kolkata on July 11 was in line with the agreed minutes of India-Bangladesh Shipping Secretaries Level Talks (SSLT) held in Dhaka in December last year 2023.

Missing minor siblings Ansh and Anshika recovered safely after 12 days in Ranchi
