Trinamool Cong ruling Bengal observing 'Martyrs' Day'

Kolkata, July 21 (UNI) The ruling Trinamool Congress is observing Martyrs' Day on Sunday to remember the death of 13 people during a protest against the then CPI(M)-led Left government in 1993.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said July 21 is an emotive milestone and an integral part of Bengal's public culture.
" Tomorrow comes another 21st (of) July! 21st July is a blood-soaked day in the history of Bengal. 13 lives were brutally taken away by the repressive regime of CPI( M) on this day in 1993," Banerjee said on her X Handle on Saturday.
