Odisha CM announces Rs 10L assistance to family of communal clash victim

Bhubaneswar, June 11 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday announced Rs.10 lakh assistance to the next of kin of a youth who died following a communal clash.
The youth, identified as Santosh Parida, was seriously injured during a communal clash that broke out between two communities in Bhadrak under the Tihidi police station jurisdiction a few days ago.
He died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.

Mizoram Pradesh Congress urges Centre to grant visa to US evangelist Franklin Graham

Aizawl, Dec 5 (UNI) Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Lal Thanzara has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing “deep disappointment” over the reported denial of a visa to American evangelist Rev. Dr. Franklin Graham, who had been invited to speak at a Christian commemoration in Nagaland.
In his letter, Lal Thanzara said the US preacher was scheduled to address a gathering at Kohima’s Indira Gandhi Stadium on November 30, 2025, as part of a remembrance of the late Rev. Dr. Billy Graham’s crusade in Nagaland 53 years earlier.
