BJP govt has betrayed Odisha farmers over paddy procurement, alleges BJD

Bhubaneswar, Jan 13 (UNI) Alleging that BJP had doled out false promises to farmers only to secure votes, opposition Biju Janata Dal on Tuesday said the ruling party has betrayed the farming community in the state with the government having miserably failed in the paddy procurement for the kharif season.
At a time when an alarming situation has arisen in paddy procurement across the state, nearly 70 per cent of Odisha’s population that depends on agriculture has fallen victim to the betrayal of the state government, said senior BJD leaders while briefing media.
