RJD renames its student wing as ‘Socialist Student Association of India’

Patna, April 13 (UNI) In a significant organisational decision, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Monday announced the renaming of the party's student wing, Chhatra RJD, to Socialist Student Association of India (SSAI).
Yadav told news persons here that the earlier student organisation has been dissolved and replaced with the new body in compliance with Supreme Court directives and the recommendations of the Lyngdoh Committee on student elections. He added that the new organisation aims to work across colleges and universities for education, equality, and student empowerment, and will expand its activities nationwide.
The RJD leader said the move reflects a broader vision to strengthen student participation in democratic processes while ensuring transparency and adherence to institutional norms.
