Kanhaiya accuses BJP-JDU of ruining Bihar, questions Adani Power deal

Patna, Oct 4 (UNI) Congress leader and NSUI in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar today accused the ruling BJP-JDU coalition of destroying Bihar over the past two decades, alleging widespread corruption, unemployment, migration, crime, and loot of public resources.
Kumar, while talking to newspersons here, alleged that for 20 years, the BJP-JDU government has pushed Bihar into ruin.
Taking aim at the Bhagalpur Power Plant project, Kumar said it was originally initiated under the UPA government as a joint venture between the state and the Centre, but was later handed over to the Adani Group. Questioning allotment of the land to Adani at just Rs 1 per acre, despite budgetary allocations for the project, he said the project is worth profits of over Rs 1 lakh crore, but instead of benefiting Bihar, it will end up enriching Prime Minister Modi’s friend Adani.
