Mahua Moitra slams NRC notices to two Nadia residents, calls it BJP’s “Pre-Election Trick”

Kolkata, Oct 10 (UNI) Krishnanagar MP and Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra today strongly criticised the Assam government for allegedly issuing illegal NRC (National Register of Citizens) notices to two residents of Nadia district in West Bengal.
Terming the move “unconstitutional and politically motivated,” she accused the BJP of trying to create panic before the upcoming elections.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Moitra wrote, “NRC notices issued illegally by Assam govt to two bonafide citizens & residents of Bengal’s Nadia. Assam BJP govt has no authority, no jurisdiction to do this. BJP pre-election tricks to create panic & fuel fires.”
