Assam push back 18 Bangladeshi nationals from Cachar and Sribhumi Distts

Guwahati, July 5 (UNI) The Assam government today pushed back 18 Bangladeshi nationals from Cachar and Sribhumi districts.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Oh, look, who's going back to their home? In Assam, we welcome guests with open arms, but those trying to illegally prolong their stay are treated with the special gesture of PUSHBACK. 18 illegal Bangladeshis were pushed back today in the wee hours from Cachar and Sribhumi."
Sarma shared this on his X handle with a photograph of the pushed-back Bangladeshi nationals.
