Odisha gets India’s first 24/7 Annapurti ‘Grain ATM’ for PDS beneficiaries

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8 (UNI) Odisha has become the first state in India to provide 24/7 access to the public distribution system beneficiaries with the launch of a standalone grain dispensing solution, Annapurti Grain ATM at Mancheswar in Bhubaneshwar on Thursday.
Odisha Food Supplies, Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, unveiled the Annapurti solution with Nozomi Hashimoto, Deputy Country Director, WFP in India.
“This is a significant initiative in partnership with the World Food Programme to achieve nutritional security in the state, which is focused on food security, he said.
