Meghalaya CM inaugurates newly-built indoor sports hall at St. Mary’s College

Shillong, Apr 10 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma inaugurated a newly-built indoor sports hall, renovated amenities and equipment, procured under grants of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0), at the reputed St. Mary’s College in state capital Shillong on Friday.
Stating that the dedication and quality of education provided by different denominations and missions inspire the government, the chief minister informed that the state government supports such institutions by spending about Rs 1,200 crore annually.
“The government works hand in hand with these institutes to serve the people of the state. I am happy to see that the investments by the government through these organizations are yielding great results,” he said, and commended the college in providing quality higher education while encouraging holistic development of the students.
