Attack on Gavai exposes true face of BJP: Ram

Patna, Oct 7 (UNI) Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee President Rajesh Ram today strongly condemned the recent incident in which a shoe was hurled at Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai, calling it a shameful act, exposes the “true face of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).”
Ram told news persons here that while times may have changed, society’s mindset towards Dalits and backward classes remains largely the same.
A few Dalits managed to reach high positions through sheer hard work, but even then, they are not treated with the same respect as people from upper castes holding similar positions, he remarked.
