Odisha: Minor’s rapist gets 20-year jail

Balasore, July 8 (UNI) A man was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by a court in Odisha on Monday for raping an eight-year-old girl last year.
Special Judge Pocso Ranjan Kumar Sutar convicted 33-year-old Mantaz of Bagada village under Kasafal under Marine police station for rape and sentenced him to 20 years rigorous imprisonment, along with a penalty of Rs 5,000
The convict, the judge ordered, would undergo two more years’ jail term in case he failed to pay the fine amount.

Honeymoon murder case: Sonam undergoes mental assessment
