Odisha: Man sentenced to 10 years RI for raping a married woman

Kendrapara, Feb 19 (UNI) Ad-hoc Additional Session Judge (Fast Track Special Court) of Kendrapara Tribikram Keshari Chinhara on Monday sentenced a man to 10 years of Rigorous Imprisonment and a fine amount of Rs.25000 for raping a married woman.
Additional Public Prosecutor of Fast Track special court Sanjay Kumar Jena said the convict identified as Basudev Malik of Gupti village under Rajnagar police limit had entered the house of a married woman on March 1, 2020, and finding the woman alone raped her.
Mallick later fled from the spot after the woman’s father-in-law reached the house.
