Calcutta HC seeks police report on Jadavpur University trouble by Mar 12

Kolkata, Mar 5 (UNI) The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday directed the West Bengal government to file a comprehensive report by March 12 in relation to a violence in the premier institution in Jadavpur University campus during Education Minister Bratya Basu’s visit on Saturday last (March 1), official sources said.
The court also directed the police to file an FIR (first information report) on behalf of an injured student Indranuj Roy today itself.
The bench of single judge Justice Tirthankar Ghosh passed order after hearing contents of an email sent by an injured student, who sustained eye injury after minister's car allegedly dashed him off whilst Basu was whisked away by his security personnel after being attacked by the Left-wing students, including that of SFI, on Saturday evening.
