Seven militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, June 20 (UNI) Seven militants were apprehended in separate operations by police and security personnel during the last 24 hours in Manipur.
State police said on Friday that they arrested two militants from Wangoi Bazar in Imphal West district. Central force arrested two militants from the Indo-Myanmar border in BP-87 in Tengnoupal district.
In another incident, security forces nabbed a militant from Sekmaijing Khunou in Kakching district. Security forces also arrested a woman, allegedly a militant, from Phaknung Thongkhong in Imphal East district.
Security forces arrested a militant from Kwakta Terakhongshangbi Bazar in Bishnupur district with ammunition of various arms.
The state police also arrested a militant from Porompat near DC Office Gate in Imphal East district. In an operation, one modified .303 rifle with magazine, two single barrel rifle, a grenade, ammunition and other materials were recovered from Heibonglog hill in Imphal West district.
