Arunachal: Compensation distribution begins for 3097 MW Etalin HEP in Dibang Valley

Itanagar, Apr 22 (UNI) In a significant push towards accelerating hydroelectric development in Arunachal Pradesh, the Dibang Valley district administration has successfully completed the first phase of compensation distribution to project affected families (PAFs) of the 3097 MW Etalin Hydroelectric Project (HEP).
Etalin HEP, being one of the largest hydroelectric projects in the country and the biggest in the state, marks a significant milestone in the region’s infrastructure and energy development.
It may be mentioned that a compensation amount of Rs 269.97 crore was recently handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Dibang Valley by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on behalf of the project proponent, SJVN Ltd.
