Health Minister proposes doubling health budget in Abua Dishom Budget 2026–27

Ranchi, Jan 16 (UNI) Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari on Friday proposed doubling the Health Department budget from Rs 5,500 crore to Rs 11,000 crore in the Abua Dishom Budget 2026–27, asserting that strong financial backing is essential to make the budget pro-people, robust and visionary.
Ansari presented his proposals on the second and concluding day of the two-day pre-budget consultation meeting held under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore.
Addressing the media after the meeting, he said the upcoming Abua Dishom Budget is being prepared with public welfare at its core and aims to strengthen critical social sectors.
