BJP MP Abhijit Gangopadhyay's condition improves. but remains critical

Kolkata, June 16 (UNI) BJP MP and Calcutta High Court former judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay, who has been admitted to a private hospital in the city with pancreatitis, is stable but critically ill, a medical board said today.
Sixty-three-year-old Gangopadhyay, admitted to the Woodlands Multispeciality Hospitals on Saturday with complaints of vomiting, abdominal pain and abdominal distension, has been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis with gastrointestinal sepsis. He remains under close observation in the ICU, a medical bulletin said.
The hospital said, " He is stable but critically ill and under continuous monitoring." However, his condition has improved in the last 24 hours, it added.
