Seven gamblers arrested in Bokaro; Illegal liquor seized

Bokaro, Nov 30 (UNI) The Bokaro district police arrested seven individuals for gambling during a surprise raid in the Dhoicha Tola area under Marafari Police Station. The operation led to the recovery of a significant amount of illegal liquor, cash, and other items used in gambling activities.
According to police sources, the raid was conducted late Saturday night on the basis of a confidential tip-off received by the Bokaro Superintendent of Police. Acting on the information, a special team led by Marafari Police Station in-charge Mohammad Azad Khan was constituted. The team carried out a swift raid near the residence of Ram Rai Honhanga, where a group of men was caught red-handed while gambling inside an enclosed area.
During the raid, police seized ₹5,530 in cash, several decks of playing cards, 23 bottles of foreign liquor, seven mobile phones, and a Honda SP 125 motorcycle from the arrested individuals. The arrested persons have been identified as Vikas Kumar, Mithlesh Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Santosh Paswan, Ram Rai Honhanga, Shankar Kumar Saw, and Ram Kumar. All of them are residents of different localities under Marafari police limits, including Ritudi, Jhhopdi Colony, Dhoicha Tola, and B.S. City.
