Manipur CM attends BJP Foundation Day in Noney, reaffirms Centre’s commitment to Manipur

Noney (Manipur ) Apr 6 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to safeguarding the state’s territorial integrity and accelerating development in the Northeast while attending the 47th Foundation Day celebrations of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Noney district.
The Chief Minister, who was returning to Imphal after a three-day visit to Jiribam district and election campaign at Assam made a brief stop at Longmai Part-3 Multipurpose Hall in Noney, where the programme was held. He was received by Dipu Gangmei MLA and traditional Rongmei Naga dancers.
During the event, Singh, accompanied by State BJP President A. Sharda Devi and party legislators, hoisted the BJP flag at Longmai Common Ground amid the singing of Vande Mataram. Floral tributes were also paid to the portraits of party ideologues Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mukherjee.
