BJP, JD(U) demand single-phase election in Bihar, RJD favours multi-phase assembly polls

Patna, Oct 4 (UNI) BJP and JD(U) the main constituents of the NDA have demanded single-phase assembly elections in Bihar, while the RJD has favoured multi phase polls during their meeting with the full team of the Election Commission, which reviewed poll preparedness for the upcoming state assembly elections.
A full team of the Election Commission, headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar along with Election Commissioners Dr Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Dr Vivek Joshi, held discussions with all political parties to review the poll preparedness for the Bihar assembly elections in Patna.
Representatives of all major political parties, including JD(U), BJP, Congress, RJD, CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML), BSP, LJP (Ram Vilas), RLJP and others, met the Election Commission and offered their suggestions to ensure free and fair elections in the state.
