Nine pc polling in 1st 2 hrs of Bihar by-poll in Rupauli

Patna, July 10 (UNI) Polling is in progress for bye-election to Rupauli Assembly seat in Bihar on Wednesday where more than 3.13 lakh electorate will decide the fate of 11 candidates, including former Minister Bima Bharti.

According to office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), 9.27 per cent polling was recorded during the first two hours.

A total of 321 polling stations have been set up for voting till 6 pm.

The main contest in the constituency is between Bharti of Rashtriya Janata Dal and Kaladhar Mandal of Janata Dal (United).

Bharti was a JD(U) legislator from Rupali seat earlier but resigned for contesting Lok Sabha elections from Purnea on RJD ticket, a contest she lost.
