Nearly 65 percent polling in first phase of Bihar assembly elections

Patna, Nov 6 (UNI) An estimated 65 percent of nearly 3.75 crores electorate exercised their franchise amid tight security arrangements in first of two phased Bihar assembly elections in 121 seats, sealing fate of 1,314 candidates including Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha besides 15 Ministers and CM face of Grand Alliance Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vinod Singh Gunjiyal told media persons here that as per information received from district headquarters till now, 64.46 percent electorate exercised their franchise in first phase of Bihar assembly elections in 121 constituencies.
Barring few sporadic incidents, polling passed off peacefully, he informed.

Road blockade in Bokaro against murder
