London stock exchange group hires Odisha students

Bhubaneswar, Sep 13 (UNI) For the first time in Odisha, 11 students of 2026 batch of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here, have been hired by London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), a Fintech product based company.
The students were selected during a campus recruitment drive, Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kumar Hota, Dean, Career Development, Industry Collaboration and Placement, said.
“The process was quite rigorous through a six round selection exercise. This is the highest number of students LSEG has hired from any institute in the country so far,” Prof ( Dr.) Hota said.

Odisha Vigilance nabs engineer, associate while accepting Rs 1 36 lakh bribe

Bhubaneshwar, May 17 (UNI) Odisha Vigilance on Sunday arrested a junior engineer of the Rural Works (RW) Section in Nayagarh district and his associate while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.36 lakh from a contractor for clearing pending bills and facilitating refund of security deposits, officials said.
