Arunachal dists gear up for monsoon with robust preparedness measures

Itanagar, May 14 (UNI) The district administrations across Arunachal Pradesh have stepped up monsoon preparedness efforts ahead of the ensuing southwest monsoon, with a series of review meetings held in Likabali (Lower Siang), Basar (Leparada), and Yingkiong (Upper Siang) to assess readiness and strengthen disaster management mechanisms.
In Likabali, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of DDMA, Rujjum Rakshap chaired a high-level meeting with the administrative officers, departmental heads, and representatives from the Indian Army, ITBP, and BRTF.
Stressing that Lower Siang is one of the most disaster-prone districts, DC Rakshap called for meticulous planning, timely updating of contingency plans, and a unified approach among departments.
