Odisha, WFP sign agreement to strengthen social protection for migrant workers

Bhubaneswar, Dec 5 (UNI) The Odisha Government and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) have signed a Technical Assistance Agreement aimed at improving access to social protection for vulnerable migrant workers and their families.
The partnership focuses on ensuring uninterrupted access to essential services—such as food, health, nutrition, education, and labour schemes—as households migrate within the state.
The agreement was signed by Chithra Arumugam, Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour and Employees' State Insurance Department, on behalf of the Odisha Government, and Elisabeth Faure, Country Director of WFP in India, in the presence of Development Commissioner Anu Garg.

406 people donate blood at camp organised at Lok Bhavan on Jharkhand Governor’s directions

Ranchi, Jan 12 (UNI) On the directions of the Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, a Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society, Jharkhand State Branch, at Birsa Mandap, Lok Bhavan, Ranchi, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great philosopher and visionary Swami Vivekananda (National Youth Day). A total of 406 people voluntarily donated blood during the camp.
