Odisha CM welcomes Rs.447 cr boost for Kurumpuri–Raj Khariar Highway upgrade

Bhubaneswar, April 4 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Minister Nitin Gadkari for approving Rs.447.11 crore for the upgradation of the Kurumpuri–Raj Khariar section on NH-353 and NH-59.
Highlighting the significance of this investment, Majhi said it will strengthen a key interstate corridor, enhancing connectivity across crucial districts of Odisha.
“This transformative project will improve road safety, facilitate smoother movement of passengers and freight, and unlock tourism potential at destinations such as Daringbadi and Sunabeda, thereby accelerating regional development and bringing lasting prosperity to the people of Odisha,” he added.
