Indian Army troops in Arunachal commemorate 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ with patriotic zeal

Itanagar, Nov 7 (UNI) Troops of the Indian Army deployed in the remote and strategically significant Siang, Siyom, and Subansiri Valleys of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday commemorated 150 years of India’s National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ with great patriotic fervour and devotion at their forward posts.
At first light, soldiers of the Indian Army assembled at their posts overlooking the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to join the nation in the collective singing of Vande Mataram.
Against the backdrop of towering mountains and the turbulent rivers, their voices echoed through the valleys — a stirring reminder of India’s unity, strength and enduring spirit.

Tripura govt alliance partner IPFT threatens stir against Tribal Welfare Minister

Agartala, Dec 16 (UNI) The ruling BJP in Tripura is currently experiencing coalition pangs, as two tribal-based junior partners in the government have voiced their concerns against Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma, after opposition parties CPI-M and Congress demanded his removal from the cabinet for an offensive comment on tribals during a public gathering.
On Tuesday, the BJP's alliance partner, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), threatened to initiate a statewide movement against the Tribal Welfare Minister for his derogatory remark last week.
