Kolkata: CID sleuths arrive at Firhad Hakim's home in MLAs' signature forgery probe

Kolkata, June 4 (UNI) West Bengal's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) sleuths on Thursday reached the South Kolkata home of sitting MLA and former state minister Firhad Hakim as part of the probe into the ongoing alleged signature forgery scandal in the legislative assembly.
According to CID sources, they intend to record Hakim's statement as part of their investigation into the alleged forgery of MLAs' signatures. It has been revealed that Hakim was present at the meeting convened by Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee last week to choose the Leader of the Opposition, the sources said.
The CID sleuths are looking into details like what exactly transpired during that meeting at Banerjee's Kalighat residence, the MLAs who attended it, and which absentee legislators' signatures were affixed to the resolution copy designating the Leader of the Opposition. Hakim
