15 Bangladeshi with 5 Indian touts arrested in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 28 (UNI) In an intelligence based operation against infiltration in the border villages of Kailasahar in Tripura's Unakoti district 13 Bangladeshi including three females, three males, and seven children, and three Indian touts were apprehended.
BSF statement here on Friday said all the Bangladeshi are resident of Moulvibazar, Sunamgunj, Netragunj, Netrokona, and Barisal districts while Indian touts are Kajal Das of Silchar in Assam, Ajit Das of Unakoti and Prasanjit Debnath of Dhalai in Tripura.
In a concerted effort to curb illegal cross-border activities, on the intervening night of Thursday, a joint operation was conducted with the Government Railway Police at Agartala Railway Station.
This operation led to the apprehension of two Indian nationals involved in facilitating the unauthorized entry of Bangladeshi into Indian territory.
Another special operation was launched in association with Tripura police in which two Bangladeshi Nationals were apprehended near old ONGC, when they were trying to cross over to Bangladesh, the statement added.
