Imphal, May 15 (UNI) Manipur police and security forces arrested seven people, allegedly cadres of different militant outfits, in various operations during the last 24 hours.
Police said on Thursday that two militants were nabbed from Leirongthel Prita under Nongpok Sekmai-PS, Thoubal District.
Security forces also arrested a militant at Kangmong Meisnam Maning Leikai under Nambol-PS, Bishnupur District.
In yet another operation, Manipur Police arrested a militant from Minuthong under Imphal PS, Imphal West District.
Security forces arrested a self-styled sergeant major of CKLA/UPLF (Non SoO group) cadre from Saikot village under Churachandpur-PS, Churachandpur District.
In another operation, Manipur Police arrested a militant from the Lamdong area under Kakching-PS, Kakching District.
Police further said security forces arrested a militant from the Waikhong Ningthoumanai area under Waikhong-PS, Kakching District.
Arms and ammunition, including a .303 rifle, .303 sniper, and SBBL gun, were recovered from the Aigejang and Leimaram Uyok forests under Nambol-PS, Bishnupur District.
