Imphal, Mar 10 (UNI) Manipur Police arrested 16 militants in different operations in Imphal West and Imphal East, police said on Monday.
Manipur Police arrested five active cadres of the NRFM organisation from Gandhi Avenue, Thangal Bazar, under City-PS, Imphal West District, during operations during the last 24 hours.
Another cadre of the same outfit was nabbed by Manipur Police from Golapati Masjid Achouba Awang Leirak under Porompat-PS, Imphal East District.
In another operation, Manipur Police arrested two active cadres of PREPAK (Pro) from Khongman Nandeibam Leikai under Irilbung-PS, Imphal East District.
In yet another operation, Manipur Police arrested three active cadres of PREPAK (Pro) from Heinoupok near Ima Medhapati School, Imphal West District.
Police said in an operation, Manipur Police arrested an active member of KCP (PWG) from RIMS Main Gate, Lamphel, Imphal West. Police arrested an active member of KCP (PWG) along with incriminating documents from Imphal West. Three cadres of UPPK were also nabbed from Imphal West.
