Man arrested for transferring extortion funds linked to Aman Sahu–Rahul Singh gang in Latehar

Latehar, Dec 4 ( UNI) In an action against the financial network of the Aman Sahu Rahul Singh gang, Latehar Police have arrested an associate involved in collecting and transferring extortion (levy) funds for the criminal group. The accused had reportedly been providing financial support to the gang for several months.
The arrested individual has been identified as Shahid Ansari, son of Nawab Ansari and a resident of Azad Nagar under the Lower Bazar Police Station area in Ranchi. According to police investigations, nearly Rs 50 lakh was deposited or transferred in cash and through online channels for the gang’s operations between November 2024 and the present period. Officials stated that Shahid Ansari played an active role in facilitating these financial transactions.
Police further revealed that the accused is the brother-in-law of Akash Rai alias Monu, who is currently lodged in Madhupur Jail.
