Bengal: Police unearth 2 fake call centres, 15 arrested from New Town

Kolkata, Jan 25 (UNI) Police have unearthed two fake call centres and seized a huge number of communication gadgets after arresting 15 people, including three women, at New Town in this connection, a senior official said on Saturday.
Sources from the Cyber Crime Branch of Bidhannagar Police station said that acting on inputs, police teams raided two buildings at New Town in the eastern part of the city from January 23 and seized 62 laptops, scores of routers to link the USA and UK, many incriminating documents and other vital communication tools from the two fake call centres.
They said the fake call centres have allegedly cheated their clients in the USA and UK with false promises and minted money.
