Mixed reactions in Bengal on Union Budget for 25-26

Kolkata, Feb 1 (UNI) The Union Budget 2025-26 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Parliament on Saturday evoked mixed reactions in West Bengal.
State ruling Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee said the budget has " nothing" for Bengal but opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari said the budget is for the " middle class" society.
Banerjee, who is known as No 2 leader next to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claimed that the Union Budget has "nothing" for West Bengal. He alleged that their state continued to remain "deprived" under the BJP-led NDA rule at the Centre.
