Rural roads built with NABARD support boosting Bihar’s village economy

Patna, Dec 6 (UNI) Rural infrastructure in Bihar is seeing rapid transformation as hundreds of new roads and bridges built with the support of NABARD are strengthening connectivity and driving economic growth across remote villages.
According to the Rural Works Department, nearly 80% of the rural road and bridge network has been completed, while the remaining projects are in their final stages. The government is spending Rs 5,989.85 crore on this ambitious plan aimed at improving connectivity.
Official sources said here today that in 2023, the department approved the construction of 5,254.49 km long 2,025 rural roads out of which 1,876 roads in 4,835.88 km have already been completed. Alongside roads, 1,239 rural bridges are being constructed with NABARD’s assistance, the sources.

JEPC releases list of Jharkhand schools selected for clean and green school rating

Ranchi, Jan 15 (UNI) The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has released the list of schools selected under the Clean and Green School Rating (SHVR) and the Chief Minister Clean School Award (MSVP). Under the state-level selection process, 20 schools have been shortlisted for the Clean and Green School Rating, while 119 schools have been selected for the Chief Minister Clean School Award.
